Bozenna Pasik-Duncan Receives IFAC Outstanding Service Award

Bozenna Pasik-Duncan, professor of mathematics and courtesy professor of aerospace engineering and electrical engineering and computer science will receive from the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC) the Outstanding Service Award, which acknowledges her many years of service to IFAC in senior positions. The award will be presented during the President’s dinner at the Council- and Related Meetings in Toulouse, France, July 8, 2017.

Pasik-Duncan is a Fellow of IFAC and has served the organization in several capacities including as an elected member of the IFAC Technical Board in the role of the education liaison to all fifty technical committees, general chair of the IFAC Symposium on Advances in Control Education held in Bratislava, Slovakia, chair of the IFAC Education Liaison Initiative, invited panelist on the Panel Session at the IFAC International Symposium on Advances in Education, Nizhny, Russia, member of the Editorial Board for the 2011 IFAC World Congress, editor-in-chief of IFAC Control Resources Publications, and member of IFAC Awards Board

IFAC, founded in September 1957, is a multinational federation of National Member Organizations (NMOs), each one representing the engineering and scientific societies concerned with automatic control in its own country. The aims of the Federation are to promote the science and technology of control in the broadest sense in all systems, whether, for example, engineering, physical, biological, social or economic, in both theory and application.
