KU Student Chapter of SIAM
The University of Kansas SIAM (Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics) chapter has the purpose of popularizing the applications of mathematics and computational science in a wide variety of disciplines such as engineering, statistics, physics, computer science, and economics.
SIAM Chapter WebsiteOur goal is to establish communication, collaboration, and connections between fellow members, other student chapters, and departmental faculty and foster creativity and curiosity of ideas and learning in applied mathematics and computational science.
The SIAM chapter at KU is a new student-run organization that is based in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Kansas. Our organization is open to all members of KU community. We hold bi-weekly meetings, organize presentations and conversations throughout the Fall and Spring semesters.
