Fazel Hadadifard Receives Summer Research Fellowship

Fazel Hadadifard received a 2017 Summer Research Fellowship from the KU Office of Graduate Studies. The award comes with a stipend of $5,000. His advisor is Atanas Stefanov, professor of mathematics.

The award places Fazel among a select group of graduate students, all of whom have excellent academic records and the strongest endorsements from their respective departments.

The factors considered in awarding Summer Research Fellowships include (but are not be limited to):

  • Academic performance
  • A clearly stated proposal with specific details of his/her research plan
  • Nominee is from an under-represented student group
  • Recommendation from the department
