David Lerner received the 2013 Max Wells Teaching Award.

David Lerner, professor of mathematics, received the 2013 Max Wells Teaching Award.  This award was established in 2002 in recognition of outstanding or exemplary teaching by a KU faculty member in the Department of Mathematics.

Max Wells received his B.S. degree (1969) in mathematics from KU and a M.S. degree (1971) in mathematics from the University of Michigan.  He received a M.D. degree from KU in 1974 and went on to a career as a pathologist.
